God’s Power

I think it’s safe to say that Moses was one of the great leaders in the Old Testament, maybe even the greatest. His life is just fascinating, even from the very beginning.

His life was spared when he was a baby, he was raised in a royal family, and then he was chosen to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt. The story itself has all the makings of a great novel.

But as great as he was, he still had moments of doubt. I love the verse in Numbers 11:23 (Amp), “The Lord said to Moses, Has the Lord’s hand (His ability and power) become short (thwarted and inadequate)? You shall see now whether My word shall come to pass for you or not.”

Let me bring this into the present day. So all around you, there is a Coronavirus scare. And the Lord is saying to you, “Do you think my hand is short, and that I cannot take care of you? Is my power inadequate? Did you forget that I created you? That I spoke the very world into existence by just a word?”

Now, I don’t know about you, but the fact that the Creator of the universe is in control of me and everything in my world is a great comfort. Now might be a good time to stop and give Him praise! His power is unfailing! My momma use to say, “He is a God of His Word!” Amen!
