What Do I Really Believe ?
Sometimes in the midst of the storms of your life, it’s important to take a minute and remind yourself of what you really believe and know about God.
Here is my list:
I believe we are created in the image of God. (Genesis 1:26: And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness…)
I believe we have a Heavenly Father who loves us. (John 3:16: For God so loved the world…)
I believe we don’t need to try and figure God out. I just need to remember that He is God and I am not! (Romans 11:33: How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!)
I believe we are to give Him our burdens, trusting Him completely to take care of us. (Psalm 55:22: Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.)
Sometimes it’s good to sit down and make a list of what we really believe. There’s a great song out right now by Big Daddy Weave and it says, “My eyes have never seen you but I’ve seen enough to say, ‘You are good. You are kind. I am loved.’”
I couldn’t say it better! When I think about all the goodness of God and all the prayers He has answered for me down through the years, I have to say He has a really good track record. I’m guessing it’s the same for you. He has proven Himself faithful. We can trust Him!
