Press In, Press On…

I can hardly believe how fast this year is flying by! I remember thinking we would know how this year was going to turn out a few months into 2021. Well, here we are.

I don’t know that there are a lot of changes. Some of our schools are still not in session. Many restaurants are still closed, except for takeout, and masks are still everywhere.

I felt that God gave me a “word” for this year and it was, “Keep pressing on and keep pressing in.”

So simply put, just keep on running the race. Keep on pressing into God’s presence and receive all that God has for us. And I think I would add something else: realize that more than ever, we are totally dependent on God.

He is our Source: the source of our joy, our peace, our strength, and our comfort. He is truly more than enough. Everything we could ever need is found in Him!

And maybe that’s what all this has been about. It has been a time when we have become more aware of how much we truly need to be dependent on God for absolutely everything!

2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” So no matter what happens this year, we can rely on Him whose power is perfected in our weakness.
