Chosen By God

When you think back to your childhood, probably one of the most difficult memories any of us can have is the memory of “not being chosen.”

Remember when they chose teams for a sport and you might not have been the most athletic person in the room and there you stood? One by one, names were called. Your palms were sweating, your heart was beating, and you were thinking, “God, please don’t let me be the last one chosen!”

So many times we forget how great a privilege it is to be “chosen by God.” The fact that we get to be a part of God’s family is an amazing thought!

In Romans 8:15 it says, “…But you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, ‘Abba! Father!’” Think of it! We can call God our Father!

And though you might not have been “chosen” for the “team,” you can be assured that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords has chosen YOU! He wants YOU in His family and on His team!
