O to be Like Him

I am so blessed to have prayer journals that my dad left behind. I was reading in one the other day and there was a really old song in it. If you grew up in the church, you might remember it.

O to be like Thee, O to be like Thee

Blessed redeemer, pure as Thou art

Come in Thy Sweetness

Come in Thy fullness

Stamp Thine own image

Deep on my heart.

I know the words are different from how we speak today but the message is still the same. I realize more and more that I need to be like Jesus. His image should be stamped on my heart.

Romans 8:29 says we need to be molded into the image of His Son and share inwardly in His likeness. That should be what I strive for everyday – to be more like Him!
