At the End of Your Rope?
I think it’s safe to say that we are living in one of the most stressful times in history. So many people are filled with anxiety. I feel certain that many people would say that they are “at the end of their rope.”
In my devotions this morning, I read Matthew 5:2 (MSG). “You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God…”
I have never thought of it like that, but what an incredible thought when we are at the end of our rope, we are in that place where we don’t know what to do or where to turn. BUT GOD!
Think of it! We are exhausted and we have done everything in our power to fix our situation. That’s when God steps in and begins to work. Sometimes He has to get us to that place where we become totally dependent on Him.
So, if you are at that place and you are at the end of your rope, be encouraged. “Less of you and more of God!” And He is all we really need!
