What God Has Done

I was recently talking with someone who had something happen that could be considered a minor disappointment in life. I wanted to check and see how they were doing. Their response surprised me. They said, “With all that God has done in our lives, we are just very grateful!” I thought that response was pretty amazing.

There are plenty of things that happen in our lives that can bring us discouragement and disappointment, but this person has found the key to real joy.

The secret is not to concentrate so much on what has gone wrong or not worked out but to focus on the blessings God has given us. If God never did anything else for us but to send His only Son to die for our sins and give us eternal life, that would be more than enough. Anything else is just an added blessing!

Sometimes we just need to stop and remember from where God has brought us!
