When We Cry to Him for Help

In Psalm 22:24, it says, “But when he cried to Him for help, He heard.”

Have you ever been in a place where you were desperate for God’s help? At some point, we have all probably been there. And it’s in those moments that we just can’t put into words exactly what we need or what we are feeling.

There are so many different kinds of prayer. There are some people who have such a way with words that we just love to hear them pray. And sometimes we can verbalize exactly what we want to say. But there are other times when the need is so great; the hurt is too painful and all we can say is “Jesus!”

I think this is what the psalmist is talking about in this verse. He cried out to God and God heard. It’s one thing to cry out in our time of need, but to cry out and know that God has heard us? Now that is worth everything!! Just to know that our God hears, and He cares, and He is there to help!
