Showing God’s Love
It’s hard to believe we are getting close to the holiday season. And along with the busyness of this time of the year, it seems we encounter more and more people who are impatient and short-tempered.
How will I respond when someone cuts me off in traffic, or a waitress or sales person is rude?
It’s so easy to react in the same way we have been treated. But what if, instead of being angry, I pray for that driver? Or when a sales person is rude, I respond with kind and gentle words?
We never know what that person has been growing through. This behavior is probably coming from someone who is brokenhearted and desperate for love.
John 13:35 says, “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
As great as it is to love our Christian brothers and sisters, it is just as important for us to show love to the lost people around us!
As we enter this holiday season, let’s ask the Lord to make us more aware of brokenhearted people who are desperate for God’s love in their lives! Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus!
