God’s Prize

I love reading and studying God’s Word. When I find a verse that is meaningful and one that grabs my attention, I look it up in different translations.

Psalm 94:1 is one of those verses.

“For the Lord will not reject His people; He will never forsake His inheritance.” (NIV)

“God will never walk away from His people, never desert His precious people.” (MSG)

Those are all great translations, but in the Living Bible, it actually calls us His “prize.” The dictionary says a prize is anything that is highly valuable.

Think of it! God will never forsake us! Not only that, He considers us as very valuable! God, the Creator of the universe, the One who holds the world in His hands, considers us as His prize! No matter what may be going on around us, we can be encouraged just knowing that we are God’s “prize”!
