Peace – No Matter What

I love the way Paul closes his second letter to the Thessalonians. He says, “Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance.”(NASB)

And I love how it reads in the Living Bible. “May the Lord of peace Himself give you His peace no matter what happens.”

If I am going to apply this to my life, I have to be real. This means that I am to have peace when I have a flat tire. I have to have peace when the washing machine breaks down. Because God wants me to have peace in every situation.

Is that really possible? Yes, because we know God is working all things for our good. We know that if our kind and loving Heavenly Father allowed it, He will get us through it. And when we get through it, our faith will be stronger.

I’m praying today that you will experience His peace in every circumstance, no matter what happens!
