Rescued

I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart;

I will glorify your Name forever.

For great is your love toward me;

You have delivered me from the depths of the grave.

Psalm 86:12-13

The Message Paraphrase reads like this:

You’ve always been great toward me—what love! You snatched me from the brink of disaster!

One translation says, “You rescued me from deepest hell.”

Whether it’s being delivered, rescued, or snatched from the brink of disaster, God’s love for His children is amazing! We can never repay Him for all He has done for us. But what we can do is praise Him with all of our hearts and glorify His name forever.
