Malachi
Malachi was a prophet in the Old Testament. The Book of Malachi is the very last book in the Old Testament. It is one of the shortest books in the Bible, consisting of only four chapters. The fourth chapter has only five verses. To some, this book might seem somewhat insignificant.
But for me, this short book has great significance! In the third chapter, he talks about how important tithing is.
And I think Malachi 3:6 is one of the most powerful verses in all the Bible.
God said to Malachi, “I the Lord do not change.” Only six short words, but what an incredible declaration!
We live in a world that is constantly changing. Nothing stays the same. But the one thing we can depend on is that God will not change! We can count on Him to be the same yesterday, today, and forever! (Hebrews 13:8). We can also trust that if He has given us a promise, He will always keep His Word!
