Plant, Water, Grow

There are times in our Christian walk when we may become discouraged. We’ve done our best, shared our faith, but haven’t seen the results we would like to see.

In 1 Corinthians 3:5-9, there is a spiritual truth that we can all benefit from. Paul is pointing out that some of us plant the seed of the Gospel. Another person may come along and water the seed; but only God can cause the seed to grow.

Whether we are planting or watering the seed, it’s hard not to feel responsible when we don’t see the immediate results we would like to see. That’s why it is so important for us to remember that God is the one who can bring that seed to spiritual maturity.

So, what should we be doing? Keep planting! Keep watering! And keep trusting in God to grow the seed!
