When Your Prayers Don’t Get Answered Quickly

Let’s be honest! Sometimes it seems we just don’t get our prayers answered as fast as we think God should answer them. We pray and believe and still it seems like nothing is happening.

The next time you are feeling like this, I encourage you to take a look at Psalm 103:3-6. This will help you remember what God has already done for you.

“He forgives all my sins. He heals me. He ransoms me from hell. He surrounds me with lovingkindness and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things! My youth is renewed like the eagles!”

So, let’s think about this. We are forgiven. We are healed. We don’t have to fear hell because we are redeemed.

Each and every day, we are surrounded with lovingkindness and mercy. My life is filled with good things. And on top of all that, he renews my youth!

We don’t deserve any of this, but He does it for us anyway because He is a good God. When we begin to think of His goodness and all He does for us, it makes it easier to wait on His answers. We realize that we serve a loving, faithful God who is always on time, every time!
