The Perfect Day

This has been one of the most difficult times I can remember in my lifetime. There has never been anything quite like this.

I got up one day, in the midst of this quarantine, and looked outside and thought, “Wow! What a beautiful day!” And then my next thought was, “Oh no! We are in the middle of a quarantine! And it seems like life will never be the same! How can this be a beautiful day?”

But it can be! If we stop and count our blessings! Did I wake up this morning? Did we have food to eat? Shelter? Don’t I have a great family? Good friends? We live in a free country? Most of all, we have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares for us.

All of this became quite real to me recently. I was listening to a radio program my son-in law does called 20 The Countdown Magazine. People from all over the world listen to the top 20 Contemporary Christian songs for that week. One lady, who I will never forget, called in to say how much the program meant to her. And then she said she was blind, and how much she enjoyed listening to the songs!

Is this a beautiful day? Yes! Yes, I believe it is!
