What is Faith?

There’s an old song that says:

We’ve come this far by faith, leaning on the Lord. Trusting in His holy Word. He’s never failed us yet. Can’t turn around. We’ve come this far by faith.

Habakkuk 2:4 But the righteous will live by faith.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

So, what is this thing we call faith? Quite simply, it is belief without proof. As followers of Christ, we have chosen to live for someone and believe in something that we can’t prove scientifically. And yet there is something so exciting about being 100% sold out to something we can’t prove. For many of us, we have believed for a very long time. We trust in His Word. Because we are totally and completely sure that He will not fail us because He has never failed us yet!

And so, we will not turn around because we have come this far by faith! I send out one of these blogs every week. I believe in everything I have shared. But I have never been more convinced than I am today that we serve an amazing God who will never, ever fail us. And yes, I have come this far by faith!
