The Gift of Jesus

The other day I heard the song “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” Cute little song, upbeat music. It paints a picture in your mind of a man in a red suit, trimmed in fur, driving a sleigh with eight reindeer.

And then I thought of the real story of Christmas. The night Jesus was born. In a manger filled with hay. Shepherds on a hillside, watching their flocks.

“Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men.’” Luke 2:13-14

Jesus came to be our Savior!!

The man in the red suit supposedly has a sleigh full of gifts, but the Savior of the world offers us the greatest gift of all – the gift of ETERNAL LIFE.
