Candles

Like most of you, I have been decorating for Christmas. I think everything is done. The candles are in the candle holders ready to be lit for our Christmas dinner.

The only thing about those candles that is really annoying, is that they always seem to need to be straightened. And I have tried to figure out what makes these perfectly straight candles lean to one side. And this is what I have decided. It’s the vibrations!

When you walk past them, or shut a door, vibrations cause them to move. And I thought of how that relates to our spiritual lives.

There are so many things that can cause us to “move” or “detour” from the path we are on. Many times it’s just little things. Sometimes it’s bigger things that get in our way and cause us to stumble.

I believe we need to “stand tall” in our faith. Let nothing detour us. Make sure we keep Jesus as the Lord of our lives, in every situation!

Now if I can just figure out how to keep these candles straight…
