A Brand New Year

It is so hard to believe we are about to enter a brand-new year!! 2022!! What happened to 2021? It seems like it just flew by!

In anticipation of that, I am thinking about how to prepare my heart for the New Year.

I read this the other day: “God wants our hearts in alignment with Him before our hands set about doing today’s assignments for Him.”

Obviously, we all want to do our best for God’s Kingdom in the coming year, but I think that’s a great reminder for each of us. Before we attempt any task for Him, let’s stop and search our hearts.

The Bible says, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there be any harmful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.” Psalm 139:23-24

If our hearts are right, and our motives are pure, then what we do for God will be blessed by Him, and we will accomplish so much more for His Kingdom!
