Outnumbered
There is a TV show on the Fox News Channel called Outnumbered. There is one man on the show with four females.
It’s interesting because it gives different perspectives on the news of the day. There are four strong women and it does sometimes seem like he is outnumbered.
If we are honest, in life we can feel “outnumbered.” That’s true even for us as believers.
Deuteronomy 20:1 says, “When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you.”
There probably is not one of us who hasn’t sometimes felt outnumbered when we look at the circumstances that surround us. It may not be horses and chariots. It may be situations in our lives that seem insurmountable. But we are not to be fearful; but to remember that the Lord our God is with us.
Romans 8:37 says, “But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.”
Overwhelmingly is an interesting word. It means to crush or overpower. Through the power that God has given us, we can crush the enemy and cause him to be ineffective in our lives and situations.
The time you are feeling “outnumbered,” remember the overwhelming, crushing power you have through your Heavenly Father. He is for you! You are never outnumbered!
