But What About My Mistakes?

Psalm 106 talks about God’s people and their rebelliousness. Over and over God’s people messed up and fell back into their sinful ways.

In verse 43 it says, “Many times He would deliver them; they, however, were rebellious…”

Do you see yourself in this verse? God delivers us and yet we still mess up.

But then there are verses 44-45…

44 Nevertheless He looked upon their distress,

When He heard their cry;

45 And He remembered His covenant for their sake,

And relented according to the greatness of His Loving-kindness.

All of us make mistakes. We just do. But He still hears us when we cry out to Him. And He remembers His covenant with us. And He gives us grace and mercy. And while we should strive to live a sinless, mistake-free life, that’s just not going to happen. We are still going to mess up sometimes. But I’m so thankful we have a loving and kind heavenly Father. That’s the God we serve.
