One Thing I know

In John chapter 9 we find the story of the blind man whom Jesus healed. As great a miracle as that was, there were still those who did not want to believe. They questioned the blind man’s parents. And then they questioned him.

The blind man didn’t really know that much about Jesus. He just knew he had received a miracle. In verse 25 he said, “One thing I know, I was blind but now I see.” The Message paraphrase says it like this: “But I know one thing for sure: I was blind…I now see.”

I think there’s a real truth in this story. When God saves us and redeems us, we experience a transformation. We may not have all the theological answers, but there’s not a doubt in our minds that we have received a spiritual healing.

And then like the blind man, we too can say, “One thing I know, I was blind but now I see.” And when we experience His touch, we will never be the same again.
