Stop Believing the Lies
Recently, I became concerned for someone who I knew was struggling in their faith. You know how you see someone and you so badly want to reach out and pick them up but you’re just not sure how. Of course we can pray and that is the most important thing we can do.
But one of the things I would love to say, if given the opportunity, is “Stop believing the lies the enemy is telling you!” The lie that says, “You aren’t good enough!” Or, “You aren’t going to make it!” And maybe the worst one is, “Nothing will ever change!”
When we hear those things, we can become so discouraged. But here is the truth. You are good enough, not because of who you are, but who God is. God thought you were so worth it, He sent his only son to die for you.
And you are going to make it. In Isaiah 41:10 it says, “I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Can anything or anyone take you down if He, God Himself, is holding you?
And will things change? With God’s help, you can count on it. One of my all-time favorite verses is Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth. Do you not see it?”
It’s time for us, the people of God, to stop believing the lies of the enemy and realize who we are in Christ! We are good enough, we are going to make it, and yes, change is coming!
