Waiting on God

One of the hardest things for us to do as believers, is to wait on God. You may be a new believer or you may have walked with the Lord for a long time, but this can still be a difficult thing to do.

Micah 7:7 says, “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord. I wait in hope for God my Savior; my God will hear me.”

I love the way he expresses himself. He says, “As for me.” In other words, he is saying even if no one else joins me, it’s okay, I am still going to do this. And then he says, “I’m going to watch and wait in hope.”

Watching is keeping a vigil. Waiting is remaining, expecting something to happen. And when we watch and wait and remain with hope, we can be confident that something is going to happen. And then he closes the verse with this, “my God will hear me.”

So where are you in this process? Are you watching and waiting with hope? Then you too, can confidently say, “my God will hear me.”
