God’s Presence

In my devotions this morning I read this: “I hover over you and everything around you.” – God. That statement brings me so much comfort.

It actually takes me back to our Youth Pastor days. I remember Eddy would tell our youth group to “practice the presence of Jesus.” In other words, to remember He is always with us, surrounding us, right beside us.

Psalm 139 is a wonderful chapter for us as believers. And the nugget in that chapter is verse 7.

“Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your presence?”

Think about this for a minute. The God of the universe, who spoke the world into existence, who flung the stars into space, who created youthat God is with you!

No matter what is going on in your life today, let me assure you that God is with you! He is for you! He fights our battles and makes us victorious in every situation. As believers, let’s become more aware of His presence that surrounds us. Let’s practice the presence of Jesus!
