Are You Weary?

“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

That is one of my all-time favorite verses. Sometimes we are just weary. But the Bible says that if we wait on Him, our strength will be renewed.

There’s a beautiful song that says, “I’m gonna wait on You. I’ve tasted your goodness. I’ll trust in Your promises. I’m gonna wait on the Lord.”

You see, we make a choice to choose to wait on God; to not get in a hurry. Honestly, isn’t waiting one of the hardest things to do? Fifteen seconds in the microwave can seem like forever!

But because we have tasted the goodness of God, we know we can trust in His promises. Therefore, we can choose to wait on the Lord. And it’s in the waiting that we can draw on His strength. We can run and not be weary. We can walk and not faint.

I am going to choose to wait on Him, to have my strength renewed, and to soar with the eagles!
