Nothing Too Big – Nothing Too Small
When we bring our petitions to the Lord in prayer, there are two things that can happen. Sometimes we may feel like our request is just too big and how can God possibly do all that we need Him to do?
The other thing that can happen is that we may feel what we want to ask is too insignificant to a God who holds the universe in His hands. Surely we don’t need to bother God with something so trivial!
But here are the simple facts. God is so great that He had no difficulty in parting the Red Sea. With the mighty wind, He made two walls of water and dried out the land in between so His people could get across! So, there isn’t really anything too big for Him.
Is your request too small? I don’t think so. He feeds the birds of the air (Matthew 6:26-27), and cares for the lilies in the field (Matthew 6:8), and He knows exactly how many hairs are on your head (Luke 12:7).
You see, there is nothing too big, or nothing too small that our God doesn’t care about.
One of my very favorite verses is Ephesians 3:20. It says, “Our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.” And that’s all I really need to know!
