Courage!

In 2 Samuel the 10th chapter, David is sending Joab with his strongest fighters into battle. Joab says to the men, “Courage! We must act like men today…”

Obviously, we are not going into a military battle, but every day we are fighting a spiritual battle. We find ourselves in a world that has lost its way. As men and women of faith, we must stand boldly and fight for righteousness and truth!

That’s not always easy when the world is saying, “right is wrong and wrong is right.” But as believers, we have a responsibility to have courage, lacking fear, and to boldly stand for what we know to be right!

My prayer for all of us today is that God will give us a new boldness to stand strong for Him! “Lord, help me to be fearless in proclaiming my faith and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ!”

Let’s fight like mighty soldiers going into battle! Let’s fight with confident assurance!
