This One Thing I Know

Sometimes in life, it’s easy to be influenced by all the negative things that go on around us. Many times, things don’t go how we planned or how we would like for them to go. And sometimes, that can leave us confused and full of doubt.

But as believers, we need to take a step back and think about what is really going on and what we know for sure. The Bible says the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). The enemy wants us to feel defeated.

But when we stop and consider what God’s Word says, it gives us hope!

In Psalm 56, the Psalmist talks about how his enemies have fought and oppressed him. And then in verse 9, he makes this declaration. He says, “This one thing I know, that God is for me.”

No matter what is going on in our world, or what you may be facing personally, you can agree with the Psalmist and say, “This one thing I know, that God is for me.”
