Where Does Your Expectation Come From?

The world around us is constantly changing! Watching the news can be very disheartening. There are conflicts and wars breaking out all over the world. Here in our own country, there is so much division.

If you happen to be watching the weather, your heart can be filled with even more anxiety. There are tornadoes and earthquakes all over the world!

Where does our expectation come from? If we place our hope in anything but God, we will be disappointed. God is the only one who will never disappoint us!

My expectation is from God. Psalm 62:5 (KJV)

For my hope is from Him. Psalm 62:5 (NASB)

If you continue reading chapter 62, it says, “He only is my rock and salvation. My stronghold: I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and glory rest, the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” Psalm 62:6-8 (NASB)

It doesn’t matter what is going on around us, we can put our hope and trust in God. He is our safe refuge. Our expectation comes from Him!
