Faith Without Any Doubting

James 1:6 says, “But let him ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.”

This verse follows James 1:5 where it speaks of asking God for wisdom. But I believe James 1:6 can apply to anything we are asking God for.

If we are praying and asking God to meet a specific need, we must have faith, which literally means “belief without proof.”

When we allow doubts to come in and fill our minds, we become confused and uncertain what the outcome of our prayers will be.

I will be the first to admit that it isn’t always easy to have faith. But maybe we should take a minute and ask ourselves, “Has God ever failed or let us down?” Can you think of even one time He hasn’t answered a prayer? I’m sure none of us can think of a time when God has failed us.

I love what David Wilkerson said: “Hold fast to your faith.

Stand fast in His Word. There is no other hope in this world.”

That is faith without any doubting!
