Dwelling in the Secret Place

Many people today are living with so much fear. Their hearts are full of anxiety. It’s understandable with all the chaos in the world. But as believers we do not have to live in fear!

One of the greatest Psalms in all the Bible is Psalm 91. The very first verse says, “He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

The Amplified Bible reads like this: “He who dwells in the Secret Place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty (Whose power no foe can withstand).”

There are some real truths in this verse. The first truth is that if we are dwelling in the secret place with Him, we will be stable and fixed. More than anything, I want to be stable and not changing or wavering.

The second truth is that if we are remaining close to Him, He will give us the power that no enemy or opponent can withstand. “Withstand” literally means to resist successfully.

Let’s put this verse to practice in our lives. Let’s stay close to Him, always remaining stable, and resisting successfully anything the enemy would bring against us!
