Positioned to Hear From God

There is a very interesting verse in Ezekiel, chapter 2 verse 1. It says, “Son of man, stand up on your feet and I will speak to you.”

I know God can speak to us at any time and in any place. And I know we don’t have to be standing. Sometimes at our lowest point, God will reach down and lift us up.

But I do think there is something very special about this verse. God was giving Ezekiel an assignment. The children of Israel had rebelled against God and He was sending Ezekiel to speak to the House of Israel.

What does that have to do with us? When God is going to use us for a specific purpose, He wants us to listen, be equipped, and ready to fight the enemy.

In the sixth chapter of Ephesians, we are told to put on the full armor of God so that we will be able to “stand our ground.”

I don’t know what God may be asking you to do, but I encourage you to listen, to stand, to put on the armor of God, and be ready to do battle. He will help us and we will be victorious!
